Now that we’ve officially been introduced to Batwoman ( Ruby Rose) via this year’s three-night Arrowverse crossover event, we’ve got a better idea of what the potential series currently in development at The CW could look like. But should she get her own series or would you rather see her occasionally pop in and out of Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl?
The superhero nerds at GameSpot and TV Guide joined forces to discuss the glimpse of Batwoman we saw in the Arrow episode of this year’s “Elseworlds” crossover and whether or not that small taste has us craving more.
When The CW released the first shots of Batwoman in action, we were all understandably apprehensive. The suit looked badass, but the bright red wig was less than inspiring. There’s a fine line between a superhero getup that’s nerdy enough to look cool and one that’s just plain campy. Luckily, seeing how it looked in motion (and how Ruby Rose can rock literally any look thanks to her amazing on-screen presence) dismissed our doubts pretty quickly. Batwoman immediately established herself as a character who could hang with Oliver Queen ( Stephen Amell) and Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and not be overpowered by their performances, but funnily enough, the consensus on the panel was that she had the best chemistry with Supergirl (Melissa Benoist).

Kate Kane and Kara Danvers have a lot of similarities (female heroes constantly in the shadow of their more famous cousins), but their differences are what make them an appealing duo. Kate’s darkness and Kara’s inherent lightness make for an interesting combination that would be our first pick for a crossover if Batwoman gets picked up to series.
Ultimately, when we had to decide yea or nay on this series, it was a unanimous yea. We’re so excited about it, in fact, that we’re voting YAY! So like, give us this series already!
