Jennifer Grey is headed to Grey Sloan Memorial!
Per TV Line, the Dirty Dancing actress is the latest big name to stop by Grey’s Anatomy.
As is the norm with Shondaland casting news, there are no other details aside from the fact that it will be a multi-episode arc for midseason.
Will she be a patient, or will she have a link to one of our favorite characters?
We need answers, but we’ll need to tune in to get them when Jennifer makes her debut later this season.
The last time Jennifer Grey was associated with ABC, she won a lot of praise for her turn on Dancing with the Stars, which she won eight years ago.
Grey’s most recent stint on TV was in Amazon’s Red Oaks, and she had multiple appearances from 2014-17.
Grey’s Anatomy is currently on its typical holiday hiatus, and Grey’s Anatomy Season 15 Episode 8 certainly left fans a lot to discuss over the break.
Adding Jennifer into the mix is sure to shake things up for fans as they speculate away.
ABC confirmed just yesterday that the soapy drama would return to the air Thursday, January 17 to start the process of addressing the several cliffhangers after strong winds brought the hospital to its knees.
In addition, the network has revealed that Grey’s Anatomy spinoff, Station 19 would be taking an extended break from its plum post-Grey’s Anatomy perch.
The reason for this move is to give struggling freshman drama, A Million Little Things a boost from Greys, which still packs a punch after all these years.
Grey’s Anatomy Season 15 is currently averaging a 1.7 rating in the demo. That’s off slightly year-to-year, but still a great result.
A Million Little Things Season 1 is averaging a 0.8 rating, but enjoys solid gains with delayed viewing, suggesting that viewers are watching the show … just not in the current Wednesday at 10/9c timeslot.
